About the project
It’s safe to say that we are firm dog-lovers here at Design Sheep. We also love giving something back to our local community, which is how we started working with Swindon dog rescue SNDogs.
In 2015 they put out a call asking for help with their website. It was very old, outdated and difficult to maintain.
We talked to the volunteers about their processes for advertising dogs that need rehoming and managing adoption requests. They relied on emailing PDF forms backwards-and-forwards which often led to confusion.
We streamlined their adoption process by placing forms on their website for adoption, fostering, rehoming dogs and volunteering. It’s now much quicker and easier for people to register their interest and for SNDogs to reply to them.
The website is fully mobile-friendly and every dog has their own ‘profile page’ with a photo gallery and description.
We’ve been able to help SNDogs increase their donations from the public by adding PayPal donate buttons on the website, ‘Sponsor a Dog’ functionality and online raffle ticket purchasing.
In fact, we enjoy working with them so much that we now also cover their graphic design, website management (keeping the site updated!), Instagram management and occasional photography.
